Born 1946 in Brunadern (CH), lives in Basel (CH).
Joined the Vienna Art Orchestra in 1991.
Studied at the Konservatorium Basel & teaches at the Swiss Jazz School Bern.
He is living as a free lancer since 1972 and played a.o. with Gary Burton,
Cedar Walton & Kirk Lightsay. Leads his own quartet with William Evans,
Isla Eckinger & Dré Pallemaerts. Moreover he is a popular accompanist on piano for a
variety of ensembles. His incomparable sax solos show great richness and depth.
He is recognized as a life-long insider’s tip among musicians.
